Watch BBC news report of archaeology being unearthed at Medmerry
Archaeologists in West Sussex are racing against time to record the features of a large stretch of land that will soon be covered by the sea. They're working near Selsey on the site of the new Medmerry sea defence scheme. In a few weeks time the old shingle bank at Selsey will be breached, allowing the sea to come inland where it will be held back by a new earth mound. Roger Finn reports.
