The Councils wishes to invite tenders for the supply of services in respect of Contract Waste (Green Waste Disposal) collection from Blaby District Council, Hinckley & Bosworth Council, Leicestershire County Council clients and collection providers or any agents acting on their behalf.

The aims/objectives/service priorities of this contract are:

• Three (3) councils known as Blaby District Council (BDC), Hinckley & Bosworth Borough Council (HBBC) and Leicestershire County Council (LCC) are collaborating in this procurement of Green Waste Disposal. The Councils will sign individual contracts with preferred supplier(s) to support their contract management arrangements.

• The intention of this procurement exercise is to identify preferred supplier(s) who can meet the council's requirements and enter into a five (5) year agreement with an option to extend by a further two (2) periods of twelve (12) months based on successful annual review.

The contracting authority reserves the right to award contracts combining the following lots or groups of lots:

Each Council proposes to enter into one contract for an initial period of sixty (60) months with the preferred supplier, with an option to extend for a further two (2) periods of twelve (12) months, making eighty-four (84) months in total.

Each of the participating Councils will award contracts separately and day-to-day transactions under the contract will be conducted between the appointed contractor and the Council concerned. This will include invoicing, which will be sent/issued directly to each Council.

This requirement is being divided into the below Lots; potential suppliers are invited and required to tender for all (4) Lots Each Lot (A-C) has a separate specification; Lot D will comprise of 3 separate contracts with each Council, and each will include that particular Council’s specification.

The participating councils will award contracts separately to the preferred provider(s) as either Lots A, B, C or only Lot D.
