This bidding opportunity is for undertaking inspection, testing & repair works to concrete and masonry structures (structural and non-structural); including residential tower blocks and other residential buildings, council buildings, schools, commercial and industrial buildings and other structures owned and/or managed by Southampton City Council. The scope of work to be covered by this contract expands on that of the previous contract by including:-
• concrete repairs & surface (eg. walkway) treatments;
• masonry repairs;
• movement joint repairs (inc. resealing);
• site investigations (inc. concrete testing & soil testing);
• repairs to concrete floors and roofs;
• underpinning works;
• repairs to retaining walls;
• repairs to sea defences;
• and any other similar general concrete/masonry defect repairs.
