Weymouth Harbour Walls F&G are the north and east facing walls that make up part of the Weymouth Peninsula. The harbour walls are in poor condition and need to be replaced as soon as practicably possible.

II.2.4) Description of the procurement
Weymouth Harbour Walls F&G are the north and east facing walls that make up part of the Weymouth Peninsula. The harbour walls are in poor condition and need to be replaced as soon as practicably possible.
The work will involve the installation of nearly 500m of PU sheet piles a meter in front of the old sheet piles. The first 175m of sheet piles from the start of Wall G at the beach will be cantilevered and the remaining portion of Wall G as well as the whole of Wall F will be supported by tie rods connecting the new sheet piles to the old anchor blocks. The capping beam on top of the old sheet piles will be demolished and a new reinforced capping beam will be constructed at a fixed level on top of the new sheet piles to provide necessary flood defences.
Tenders are being sought from suitable principal contractors for these requirements.
