Bangor University is currently finalising a business case to request funding from the North Wales Growth Deal to deliver Egni, a new low/zero carbon two-storey development on the M-SParc site in Gaerwen, Anglesey.
Egni will provide an estimated 1,000m2 of new business incubation and research collaboration space (total building size of approximately 1,727m2) with complementary business development support. It will create additional offices, workshops and laboratories, training and circulation/reception space.

II.2.4) Description of the procurement
Bangor University is currently finalising a business case to request funding from the North Wales Growth Deal to deliver Egni, a new low/zero carbon two-storey development on the M-SParc site in Gaerwen, Anglesey.
Egni will provide an estimated 1,000m2 of new business incubation and research collaboration space (total building size of approximately 1,727m2) with complementary business development support. It will create additional offices, workshops and laboratories, training and circulation/reception space. The project will provide an additional 40 parking spaces to supplement the existing provision in addition to landscaping a proportion of the site adjacent to the new building. A sub-station is already present on site and will feed the new building. The drainage solution will be developed further in the next phase. The drainage proposal will require approval via SAB, and discharge of a reserved matters planning condition. Increased bio-diversity and landscaping will also be provided.

Bangor University in partnership with Ambition North Wales is committed to contributing to the social, economic and environmental well-being of the residents of North Wales. Consequently, the following social value/community benefits objectives will be a core requirement of the contract and as such evaluated in the tender.
- 260 training weeks through a combination of apprenticeships, placements and work experiences over the construction period.
