II.1.4) Short description
The University of Westminster is seeking to appoint a suitably skilled and experienced contractor to deliver a design and build project at our Student Hall block at Marylebone.
The project comprises both external and internal refurbishments to the building. Marylebone Hall was last fully refurbished in 2007 and a full refurbishment is now due.
The project requires certain essential works, with the potential to cover some other refurbishment items should budget allow.

Internally, the project involves refurbishment works to the study kitchen spaces, bedrooms and en-suite bathrooms and modifications to the lift shaft to enable the elevators to serve every floor. The external changes are limited to window replacement, existing cladding repairs, and new rooftop coverings and extract fan to vent the lift lobbies.
The refurbishment works and external alteration are seeking to provide improvements to the thermal efficient of the building, health and safety, fire safety and compliance with building regulations. No changes to the buildings use or number of units are proposed.
