II.2.4) Description of the procurement
ScotRail are tendering for a single supplier framework for the supply and delivery of white salt and low corrosion salt for use at ScotRail stations and depots. Suppliers should note the site specific delivery requirements in the tender documents. Because of the nature of the ScotRail estate, suppliers will be required to deliver bagged salt to stations by hand to salt stores, not to a central location. Amounts required are likely to vary over the duration of the contract.

Because of the time sensitivity of this procurement (in order to order de-icing salt before the upcoming winter), the PQQ and ITN are being issued at the same time. ScotRail will score the highest scoring compliant suppliers' ITN. ScotRail may not consider ITN submission from suppliers with non-compliant or the lowest scoring PQQ submissions.
