II.2.4) Description of the procurement
Our diversity is a strength and something we celebrate. The Redcliffe Sixth Form Centre houses about 700 students taken from our own school and many other schools across the City.
Our Christian ethos is at the centre of our distinctiveness and success. We have an immensely talented and dedicated staff body who are passionate about our students and developing the skills, knowledge and Alive qualities so that all our students can make their unique contribution to the world.
At SMRT we believe that each member of our school community is created by God and our aim is to achieve our full potential (being fully alive). All we do is rooted in this hope of who we are as people and who we can become. We are particularly inspired by Jesus’ statement ‘I have come that you might have life and life in all its fullness’ (John 10 v10) and Irenaeus’ ‘the glory of God is a human being fully alive’.
The contract covers the scope for the provision of all cleaning services at the school. It is currently operated in-house.
The overall emphasis for this service is on achieving ‘best value’ and the successful Supplier will be expected to demonstrate innovation, flexibility and commercialism.
St Mary Redcliffe & Temple is currently a maintained school. If, in the future it grows and becomes a Multi Academy Trust (MAT), or indeed St Mary Redcliffe might also join another MAT during this contract period, then the provision of cleaning services within these schools when they have joined the MAT or vis versa could fall under the scope of this contract. The successful Supplier will be expected to provide this service within these additional schools using the same costing model that they applied to their successful tender submission for the St Mary’s Redcliffe at the point of tender submission. The duration of contract for these schools will not be increased and they will join the contract for the remaining contract period that exists at the point of entry into the MAT.
