The Health and Safety Executive (HSE) is seeking a call-off contract against which it will source specialist input and insights to the Building Safety Regulator (BSR), a division of HSE, to support the Technical Policy Team deliver future changes to the guidance to the building regulations as set out within the Approve Documents. The BSR guidance as set out in the Approved Documents covers England.
Key outputs for this work will be full impact assessments of proposed changes to the content and approach to the approved documents and associated regulations. This will cover a range of topics across the suite of Approved Documents. Significant topics include fire safety, structural safety, building services and indoor environment matters. Outputs will also be subject to quality assurance by in-house analysts and will require approval by HM Treasury. The analysis will refine and develop further based on responses to planned engagement and consultations. It will be published to help inform any changes to the approach to guidance or its content.
