Blackpool Coastal Housing (BCH) and Blackpool Housing Company (BHC) are looking to appoint a Contractor framework to undertake (Lot 1) the Sampling of & (Lot 2) the removal of licensed and non-licensed materials containing asbestos. The subject properties comprise domestic private & social housing in the form of flats and houses and in the majority of cases, these will be occupied.

BCH & BHC are seeking to appoint a single Service Provider to carry out sampling & surveys of materials suspected to contain asbestos. Sampling and surveys will take place predominantly in void premises between periods of occupancy or within communal areas that are only occasionally used by residents. There may be instances where sampling and surveys will be required in occupied premises.

II.2.4) Description of the procurement
BCH & BHC are seeking to appoint a single Service Provider to meet their requirement for removal of licensed and non-licensed ACMs. BCH will endeavor to make arrangements for removals to take place in empty properties but there may be instances where removals will take place as part of responsive repairs to occupied properties. Removals will also take place as part of planned improvement works undertaken by BCH such as external eaves replacement programmes.
