II.1.4) Short description
St John鈥檚 is a grade II listed building within the Richmond Terrace/St John鈥檚 Conservation Area in Blackburn. In April 2019 an accidental fire caused extensive damage to the building. Following the fire, the property was made safe with the Council undertaken some clearance works and erected permanent hoardings.
It is proposed the former St John鈥檚 Church will be repurposed and refurbished to create high quality flexible workspace to meet new agile working demands, which have been accelerated by the pandemic, and will form an early phase of the new Blackburn town centre masterplan.

II.2.4) Description of the procurement
Tenders are invited for the Construction stage to St John's Church Blackburn. The Procurement will be a two stage process. Following the evaluation of the Standard Selection Questionnaires, the 5 highest scoring Contractors will be invited to Tender. The tender will be issued under an ITT issued by Blackburn with Darwen Borough Council via the Chest e-Tendering Portal.
