With the trust's current development programme added in, this means that more than 2,000 new homes will be built across Shropshire, Staffordshire and Herefordshire.
The new funding allocation comes from the Homes & Community Agency's affordable homes programme and will be used towards building homes for rent and shared ownership in areas with high demand such as Shrewsbury, Leominster, Oswestry, Telford, Stafford and Rugeley.
The homes to be built using the new funding will consist of apartments, houses and bungalows and will also include extra care schemes in Biddulph and Shrewsbury.
