The Coventry University Scarborough Campus opened in September 2015 and will relocate to a new home at Weaponess Valley in September 2016.聽 Willmott Dixon was appointed to build this under Scape Group鈥檚 national major works framework.
The purpose-built campus will include a library, IT suites, caf茅, mock law court, engineering and science labs, and a careers team.
Willmott Dixon has been on a good run in the higher education sector, building similar facilities for universities that include Warwick, Kent, Cambridge, Bournemouth, Birmingham City, West London and Brighton with a combined value of more than 拢250m.
Coventry University Scarborough Campus will be a key part of a 拢45m sports and education facility on the town鈥檚 old Weaponness park & ride site.
Coventry University vice-chancellor John Latham said: 鈥淭his is a massively important project for Coventry University, Scarborough and the regional economy. It will bring transformational economic and social impact by enhancing the education, skills and career prospects of local people.鈥
