Willmott Dixon to complete Neasden housing project

12 Mar 13 Catalyst Housing has given Willmott Dixon the go-ahead to finish off a major regeneration scheme in northwest London.

聽has been appointed by聽 Limited for the final element of a significant regeneration in Neasden, North West London, which has already created over 500 new homes.

The transformation of a major part of the Church End estate in Neasden聽started in 1998 and has been delivered by Willmott Dixon over four phases, the last of which was completed in 2008. More than 500 new homes have been built on the project to date.

The fifth and final stage, worth 拢16.3m to the contractor, is now set to start.聽Catalyst has given Willmott Dixon聽instructions to start work on Craven Park, a new development of 161 homes on Church Road, providing a mix of one- and two-bedroom accommodation for shared ownership and equity purchase.

Work on Craven Park starts immediately and will provide 300 construction jobs. Designed by PRP Architects, the first homes are targeted for completion by December 2014.

Willmott Dixon managing director Tim Carpenter said: 鈥淐raven Park is the finishing touch to the transformation of a large part of the Church End area in Neasdon. Through our partnership with Catalyst, we have helped create new housing and community facilities in Church End that will provide a high quality living environment for generations to come, something that Craven Park will add to when completed next year.鈥
