A聽new annex will be built on the site of the former West Bridgford House office block,聽accommodating 270 children and boosting capacity at the school to 630 pupils. A new nursery school will also be provided.
Nottinghamshire County Council has also contracted Wates to refurbish the existing buildings as well as construct the new annex.
The project was procured via the East Midlands Property Alliance (empa) framework, managed by Scape.
Wates is using its ADAPT Schools Solutions model for this project, which was designed in partnership with CPMG Architects. It uses prefabricated off-site construction to reduce costs by 23% on average and speed construction by 21%, it is claimed.
