From February 2015, Wirtgen will supply Wacker Neuson with rollers made at its Hamm factory in Tirschenreuth, Germany. Wacker Neuson will distribute them via its own sales network under its own brand, focusing initially on Germany, Austria and Switzerland, expanding to global distribution later.
The Hamm rollers to be sold by Wacker Neuson will be produced to the technical and design specifications of Wacker Neuson and badged in Wacker colours.
鈥淭his long-term collaboration brings together two strong players in the compaction sector that complement each other perfectly,鈥 said Wacker Neuson CEO Cem Peksaglam.
鈥淭he alliance with Hamm will enable us to close gaps in the Wacker Neuson product portfolio and round off our offering in the soil and asphalt compaction segment with tandem rollers weighing from 1.8 to 4.5 tonnes, plus compactors weighing up to seven tonnes.鈥
He added: 鈥淪trategic alliances and collaborations like the one we are entering into with the Wirtgen Group are becoming increasingly important in an increasingly global and competitive market. They make both parties more competitive.鈥
