The design-build contract involves the provision of two new additional 48km-long toll lanes. This project will be implemented by a consortium that is led by Archer Western Contractors and includes Hubbard Construction, a subsidiary of Vinci鈥檚 Eurovia.
Construction of the new reversible express lanes system includes 39 bridges along the I-75 and I-575. The lanes are to be built with minimal interruption to traffic. The project鈥檚 lanes will be partly built on reinforced soil walls supplied by Reinforced Earth - part of Vinci Construction subsidiary Freyssinet - to limit infrastructure ground coverage.
The new lanes are scheduled to come into service in 2018.
