Infrastructure Journal鈥檚 annual league tables for global technical advisersputs Arup in first place, Mott MacDonald second and Atkins sixth. Together these three share a third of the world market.
The tables聽show that Arup advised on 18 deals which reached financial close during 2010 worth a total of US$18.7bn. This gave it a 15.5% share of the world market.
Mott MacDonald worked on 28 projects with a combined value of $14.8bn, giving it a 12.3% world market share.
Atkins had 11 projects in the rankings, worth $6.0bn in total, representing a 5% share.
Arup points out that in addition to the projects listed, it also advised on four completed deals for minority stakes valued at $2.2bn which were categorised separately by the magazine. In total, Arup advised on 22 completed deals valued at $20.9bn, it said.
As well as being the overall global league table leader, Arup was placed first for transport sector transactions, first for social infrastructure and third in oil and gas. In terms of geographic coverage, it was first in both Western Europe and North America.
The league table reflects the number and value of all transactions which reached financial close during 2010.
