Turner & Townsend joins Australian defence infrastructure panel

16 Aug 22 The Australian Department of Defence has appointed Turner & Townsend to its Defence Infrastructure Panel as part of the Capital Facilities and Infrastructure Specialist Service (CFISS).

The Department of Defence鈥檚 Security and Estate Group (SEG) 聽set up the Defence Infrastructure Panel 2022-2027 last year to provide streamlined access to leading professional services companies for its infrastructure聽projects聽and聽programmes.
In supporting the CFISS service category, Turner & Townsend will supervise delivery of centralised functions including financial management, communications,聽procurement聽planning and support, programme co-ordination and scheduling, risk management, contract management, reporting and information coordination. Alan King, T&T鈥檚 defence sector lead for Australia & New Zealand, said:聽鈥淭he need to develop and deliver fit-for-purpose infrastructure projects and programmes in support of defence capability is imperative for聽Australia鈥檚聽robust, sustainable and secure future.
