The five-storey, US$115m facility will be the telecoms operator鈥檚 third of its kind in Singapore and the first at the newly opened Data Center Park (DCP) in the Jurong district.
The 20,000m2 hub will provide telecommunications services in both Asia and globally. Telin Singapore is a wholly owned subsidiary of PT Telekomunikasi Indonesia International (Telin), which in turn is owned by Telkom Group, Indonesia's largest telecommunications company.
Turner & Townsend director Brian Shuptrine said: 鈥溾淲hile the new data centre will offer cutting edge telecommunications services, our work will also help the data facility meet the green building criteria set by the government of Singapore - without compromising on quality or exceeding budget.鈥
Telin Singapore CEO Septika Noegraheni Widyasrini added: 鈥淭elin-3 marks an important milestone for Telin Singapore. Telin-3 is our first facility in the Data Center Park. Telkom Group has invested heavily in the last few years to build and to acquire strategic assets, and now we will house our existing and future infrastructure at Telin-3 upon completion.鈥
