Subbies wanted for £100m Cardiff scheme

1 Sep 16 Housing developer Lovell is inviting South Wales construction firms to find out about opportunities to work with it on a £100m Cardiff development.

Lovell is holding an open meeting at Cardiff City Stadium on Thursday 8th September to help put in place a supply chain for The Mill, a new 800-home development in Canton, Cardiff..

The development is being delivered by a partnership of Lovell, the Tirion Group and Cadwyn Housing Association on the site of the old Arjo Wiggins Paper Mill, to the west of the city centre.

Work will start later this year and is expected to continue for seven years and create more than 1,000 jobs.

Lovell regional director Kate Rees said: 鈥淎s one of Wales鈥 largest regeneration programmes, The Mill will create significant work opportunities for local businesses. Our supply chain partner event on 8th September will enable new and existing members of our supply chain to find out more and meet our project team. It鈥檚 a great opportunity to get involved in this exciting project which will bring much-needed high-quality new-build homes to Cardiff.鈥

The supply chain partner event will take place from 9am to 11am at the Ricoh Suite 2, Cardiff City Stadium, Leckwith Road, Cardiff CF11 8AZ. The event is free but anyone planning to attend should register in advance at
