The contract includes the planning and building of three junctions, six tunnels 鈥 the longest measuring 1.5 km in length 鈥 and five viaducts, including one 900m long with piers up to 95m tall.
Adanti鈥檚 share of the 鈧161m (拢141.6m) contract amounts to around 65% or 鈧105m. Bologna-based Adanti will work with consortium partner Vittadello Intercantieri di Padova. Construction will begin in spring of 2012 and is scheduled to last about two and a half years.
聽鈥淥ur subsidiary Adanti is well-positioned in the Italian infrastructure market and profits especially in northern Italy from the considerable need for modernisation in road construction,鈥 said Strabag CEO Hans Peter Haselsteiner.
Strabag acquired Adanti S.p.A. in 2008.聽
