Under a 拢4.3m contract, Stepnell will refurbish the existing two-storey section of Stowe School鈥檚 science building, demolish its single-storey extension and replace it with a new-build two-storey extension.
Externally, the extended building will feature extensive glazed facades. The new entrance will be fully glazed and sheltered by a brise-soleil sun shading system.
Work has just started on the new facilities and completion is due by October 2016.
This latest project follows Stepnell鈥檚 construction of Stowe鈥檚 new Music School, which opened in 2013.
