Stepnell and EvoEnergy pal up for solar work

28 Feb 13 Contractor Stepnell has formed a strategic partnership with solar power installer EvoEnergy.

The two companies aim to work together in the energy efficiency market.

Nottingham-based EvoEnergy has been trading since 2007 and has a turnover of 拢30m and 100 employees. It has also diversified into external wall insulation and is exploring other technologies to meet the rising demand for energy conservation and greener energy generation.

Stepnell already has experience of solar power 鈥 in 2011 it built 20% of the UK鈥檚 capacity in solar parks, it said, building four 5MWp ground mount solar installations.

鈥淭his is a fantastic move for our companies,鈥 said EvoEnergy chief executive Dr Kevin Hard. 鈥淭he innovative and nimble business model of EvoEnergy and the strong financial position of Stepnell will allow us to strengthen our position in photovoltaics and accelerate more quickly into the energy-efficiency market.鈥
