Competing against more than 500 other nominations, they were presented with their award in a presentation held at the House of Commons this month.
The awards are administrated by the Green Organisation, a group dedicated to recognising and promoting environmental best practice. Judges for the awards are drawn from the Environment Agency, the Chartered Institute of Environmental Health and the Chartered Institute for Waste Management.
Speedy will now also be considered to represent their country in the European Business Awards for the Environment and One Plan will be featured in the next Green Book, the world鈥檚 only work of reference on environmental best practice.
One Plan is a sustainability action plan that through a combination of services and incentives, will enable Speedy and their suppliers to reduce carbon emissions, improve health and safety and increase efficiency.

The judges commented, 鈥淪peedy already have a series of more efficient tools that people can hire, with the data to back up their claims. The One Plan initiative follows this up and gives customers all the information they need to make informed rental decisions based on efficiency and sustainability as well as cost.鈥
