The company has bought 拢2m worth of SkyJack powered access platforms, 拢1m on hybrid aerial lifts and 拢1.5m on BoSS alloy towers and podiums.

The SkyJack equipment includes the12ft vertical mast lift and the 19ft electric scissor lift, which is the tallest self-propelled lift in Speedy鈥檚 core fleet. The units will be stocked in specialist locations throughout Speedy鈥檚 national depot network.

Both units can be driven at full height and have a two person capacity as well as a range of safety features including overload sensing systems and a tilt alarm with drive and lift cut out.

Speedy supply chain director Andy Connor said: 鈥Working at height is one of the most dangerous parts of a contractor鈥檚 job. Contractors need equipment that can not only ensure they can get the job done safely, but which is also durable, reliable and allows them to work effectively in a variety of environments.聽

鈥淭hese new SkyJack products will complement our existing fleet, and when used correctly will greatly reduce the risk of falls when working at height.鈥
