In a trading update on the past 10 weeks, the company said that overall demand had 鈥渞emained relatively consistent with that experienced in the first half of the current financial year鈥�.聽Full year results for its financial year ending 31 May should be 鈥渧ery satisfactory鈥� and in line with market expectations, the company said.
It added: 鈥淲e have continued to invest in the business as opportunities have been secured.聽 Debt levels within the Group remain well within our committed facilities and the associated covenants.
鈥淲e continue to concentrate on optimising the performance of our existing business streams.聽We believe a sustained economic recovery is likely to be some way off.聽 However, we do anticipate that opportunities will appear in the future and our strong balance sheet will enable us to embrace these as they arise.
鈥淥ur resilient business model of providing specialist equipment services to a diverse range of markets remains a significant asset.聽 We believe that the Group will deliver another very satisfactory result in the current financial year.鈥�
Vp has also announced that聽former Yorkshire Water finance director Allison Bainbridge is joining the business next month as group finance 诲颈谤别肠迟辞谤.听
Vp鈥檚 services are spread across six divisions:聽
- Airpac Bukom Oilfield Services:聽 Equipment and service providers to the oil and gas sector
- Groundforce: 聽Excavation support systems
- Hire Station:聽 Tool hire
- Torrent Trackside: 聽Equipment and services for the railway industry
- 罢笔础:听 Portable roadway systems, bridging, fencing and barriers
- UK Forks:聽 Telehandler hire.
