SNC-Lavalin in Polish power plant win

10 Dec 12 SNC-Lavalin and General Electric International have been awarded a turnkey contract by PKN Orlen to build a combined cycle power plant in Wloclawek, Poland.

The overall project costs are estimated at just under PLN 1.4bn (拢269m) and the value of SNC-Lavalin鈥檚 portion of the contract is put at CA$183.7m (拢116m).

The plant will produce 463 MW of power through a gas turbine with a heat recovery steam generator and steam turbine. SNC-Lavalin will provide project management, engineering, procurement, construction, start up and commissioning services for the overall project as well as part of the equipment.
