The Obermann VS 63-20聽is a two-piece machine with a combined mixing and storage tank for聽grouting materials. Its core application is soil nailing.
The VS 63-20 is available either electric or diesel powered. Skelair opted for diesel.
Skelair says that it has seen a pick-up in demand for simultaneous drilling and grouting as ground stabilisation projects that were previously halted are now restarting.
Skelair managing director John Mayo said: 鈥淭o succeed in rental operations you have to closely monitor market need and ensure the right machines are available for the projects that are coming through. Last year we committed significant investment to the drill rigs and so we needed to follow this through with the pumps to ensure we maintain our high levels of integrated service.鈥�
