The new undergraduate library, which is due to complete at the beginning of 2015, is designed to provide 1,000 reader seats, flexible training rooms, community classrooms and a caf茅, plus flexible space for 6,800m of book shelves.
The current library is situated in the Edward Boyle building on the main campus until the new building is complete. 聽聽
This is the latest in a series of projects that Shepherd has undertaken at the University, having previously also been involved in the construction of the bioscience, student services, sports science and Garstang buildings in recent years.
