SES top of the class with education wins

25 Aug 11 The northern division of leading building services contractor, SES has announced a series of contract wins within the education sector with a combined build value of £66.75 million.

These latest contract wins combine new build and refurbishment projects, across the age groups from primary to further education, spanning an area from Newcastle to Lincoln.

Some of the larger contract wins include the Trinity Academy, Halifax and Carleton High School, Pontefract, each with a build value of 拢30million and 拢14million respectively.聽

The work will allow SES to draw on its extensive experience of the education sector, coupled with its proven ability and innovative approach to deliver the projects.聽 With build schedules ranging from tight 14-week timescales to much longer programmes, some of the schemes are not due to complete until 2012.聽

On many of the projects SES will use its sophisticated off-site modularisation facility to prefabricate building services.聽 This is beneficial for reasons of cost, build programming and waste reduction.聽

Speaking about these latest contract wins, regional director, Steve Joyce, said:

鈥淚 am delighted to announce this new work. Working closely with both regional and national contractors we have amassed an enviable amount of experience, across a diverse range of sectors, not least within the education sector.聽 I believe it is this, coupled with our innovative 鈥榖uild before we build鈥 approach and close collaboration with our project partners and end users that ensures we provide both a high level of service and standard of workmanship.鈥澛
