It is the third East Midlands Property Alliance (Empa) framework to be let by local authority purchasing consortium Scape this month and there are two more still to come.
The aim of Empa is to improve the procurement and delivery of construction projects and property maintenance for local authorities, saving time and money.
Already this month, worth 拢133m; and valued between 拢50,000 and 拢2m, a deal set to be worth 拢100m between them.
The latest contract, which runs for four years from January 2014, is for Empa鈥檚 intermediate framework for contracts valued between 拢2m and 拢7.5m.
Wates will cover the northern area of the region, including Derbyshire, Nottinghamshire and Lincolnshire.聽 This share of the contract has a total value of 拢88m.
Morgan Sindall will cover the southern area of the region, including Northamptonshire, Leicestershire and Rutland, as well as Warwickshire and Peterborough, which also form part of the framework.聽 This share of the contract has a total value of 拢45m.
The Empa framework contracts cover work for clients on all types of public sector buildings including schools, colleges, universities, housing, care homes, leisure facilities, libraries and more.
