Tower blocks Oakhill Court, Cheshill Court and Ascot Court will all be refurbished to improve their thermal efficiency.
Improvement works at the high-storey blocks include external wall insulation and re-cladding. Some of the properties will also be rewired and fitted with new kitchens, bathrooms and windows.
Residents will remain in their homes during the work, which is expected to be completed by summer 2014.
Seddon national operations manager John Lancaster said: 鈥淭he work we are doing makes a real difference to people鈥檚 lives. It is particularly pleasing that we are also able to offer valuable training opportunities for local people to build careers with us through the programme.鈥
Earlier this year Salix Homes was named by Salford Council as the chosen landlord to take ownership of the 8,500 council homes in Salford it currently manages in a proposed stock transfer.
This latest regeneration work forms part of a wider multi-million pound home improvement programme across Salford and Salix Homes is promising to invest a further 拢700m over the next 30 years if the stock transfer goes ahead.
