Utilising the skills and experience of its in-house teams, Rostek-UK will be installing 3600 metres of specially designed guardrail around the perimeter of the new 拢430m 800-bed hospital, which is due to open in 2014.
Building envelope specialist, Prater, awarded the contract to Rostek-UK.
Commenting on the reasons for choosing Rostek-UK, Dean Lister, commercial manager of Prater said,
鈥淲e were very impressed with the knowledge and expertise within the Rostek-UK team. By combining the skills of its in-house designers, project managers and installers it produced a tender document that fully answered our brief and met our cost requirements.
鈥淭he company is extremely professional and the ongoing help and advice its team provides is invaluable.鈥
John Hepworth, the company鈥檚 sales and marketing director, said:
鈥淎lthough we have only been established for just over a year we have already won a number of high profile and prestigious contracts 鈥 a position that reinforces our growing reputation and recognises the skills and expertise within our team.鈥
鈥淭he Southmead project is particularly important for a number of reasons 鈥 not least that it enables us to demonstrate the scope of our service offering by working across a number of our in-house departments including design, project management and installation.
鈥淪econdly, Southmead is the first in a series of major new hospital developments across the country, and by developing and delivering successful systems for it, we will certainly boost our standing when it comes to the specification for others.鈥
