海角社区app has been informed that the council has not formally signed a contract with RG Carter yet, being still in final negotiations, but the contractor is officially named as the chosen bidder in a contract award notice published by the authority in the EU Official Journal on 17th September 2014.
The notice does not state the agreed contract price but says the lowest bid came in at 拢7.58m and the highest at 拢9.34m. The previous contract notice published earlier this year put the estimated price at between 拢8m and 拢9m.
The 4,260m虏 two-storey building will include a four-court sports hall, a 25-metre swimming pool and a 20-metre teaching pool, as well as squash courts and a fitness suite.
Project client is Newark & Sherwood District Council, whose project manager is Turner & Townsend. Civil and structural engineer Millward has also聽been working for the council on the project.
Completion is scheduled for spring 2016.
