The total order book is slightly down on the 拢2.5bn that was in hand this time last year but the short-term workload is slightly up on the 拢650m that it had acquired for 2012 by the end of 2011.
In addition, Costain is preferred bidder for a further 拢400m of work.
More than 90% of the order book comes from repeat orders, providing good long-term visibility, the company said.聽
