25 Nov 16 Transurban Queensland has named Cimic subsidiary CPB Contractors as the preferred contractor for the design and construction of the AU$512m (£295m) Logan Enhancement motorway project in Queensland.

Revenue to CPB Contractors will be confirmed once the contract is executed.

Cimic Group chief executive officer Adolfo Valderas said: 鈥淭he Logan Enhancement project is a modern and sustainable infrastructure solution that will ease congestion, improve travel times and enhance motorists鈥 safety on one of Queensland鈥檚 busiest motorways.鈥

CPB Contractors managing director Rom谩n Garrido added: 鈥淒elivering new and upgraded transport infrastructure within live traffic conditions is a core capability for CPB Contractors, and we will be working closely with Transurban Queensland to ensure our design and construction methods achieve the project鈥檚 objectives.鈥

The Logan Motorway and Gateway Extension Motorway connect Logan with Ipswich in the west and the Gold Coast in the south, as well as the Port of Brisbane, Brisbane Airport and Australia Trade Coast commercial development precincts in the north.
