The contract success is the company鈥檚 Partnerships division, which new chief executive Peter Truscott said was "rapidly turning into a real success story鈥.
Partnerships has been contracted to build a 拢45m extra care village at Hughenden Valley in High Wycombe, with 260 one and two-bedroom apartments situated around centralised health and leisure facilities. This is Galliford Try鈥檚 eighth development for the ExtraCare Charitable Trust.
The contractor has also been chosen by Birmingham Municipal Housing Trust to construct a new 116-home development at Jarvis Road in the north of the city. This 拢16m scheme will create 58 affordable homes and 58 for open market sale.
Additionally, Galliford Try Partnerships has been appointed to the North Yorkshire County Council's extra care housing programme framework and to Hyde Housing Group鈥檚 main contractor framework agreement.
The North Yorkshire framework has an anticipated value of up to 拢650m over six years, with a potential four-year extension. Galliford Try is one of six named contractors.
The Hyde framework is anticipated to be worth up to 拢1bn, with Galliford Try Partnerships selected for five out of the eight lots available.
Peter Truscott, who took over from Greg Fitzgerald as chief executive last month, said: "Our Partnerships business is rapidly turning into a real success story and these latest contracts demonstrate the trust that clients have in Partnerships to deliver the homes they need across a range of different housing types and tenures."
