Laing O鈥橰ourke Ireland Ltd, the starting point for what has grown into an international construction empire, reported revenues for the year to 31 March 2010 of 鈧�25.1m, down from 鈧�103.6m the year before.
The pre-tax loss was 鈧�1m, compared to 鈧�2.8m the year before. The results were attributed to 鈥渄ifficult economic conditions鈥�.
The company also shed 52% of its workforce, with the number of employees cut from 590 to 282 during the year.
