Laing O鈥橰ourke Ireland Ltd, the starting point for what has grown into an international construction empire, reported revenues for the year to 31 March 2010 of 鈧25.1m, down from 鈧103.6m the year before.
The pre-tax loss was 鈧1m, compared to 鈧2.8m the year before. The results were attributed to 鈥渄ifficult economic conditions鈥.
The company also shed 52% of its workforce, with the number of employees cut from 590 to 282 during the year.
