The SEK305m (拢25.6m) project for Troms酶 Havn is intended to allow the number of passengers a year to be doubled from the current 1.4 million.
鈥淲e want to be an important community builder in Troms酶 and this project is really something that develops the community,鈥� said Arild 脴stg氓rd, CEO Bjorn Bygg. 鈥淲e know that a new terminal is awaited by residents, tourists and the local business community.鈥�
The new 12,000m2 terminal will cater for both freight and passengers. It will include offices, a bus station, restaurants and arrival hall for the Hurtigruten passenger and freight service.
Construction will start in April and the terminal is expected to open in February 2018.
