Two are Soilmec SR-75 and one is an SR-30. 聽The SR-75s weigh 75 tonnes and provide maximum torque of 293kNm. The smaller SR-30 is 30 tonnes, with 130kNm maximum torque.
The SR-75 rigs are part of a new generation of rigs designed by Soilmec for large diameter piling, where the structural components have been redesigned to reduce weight.
To enhance safety, Keltbray is also currently trialling a wide-angle camera system, called Vision Technique Overview, which provides 360-degree in-cab vision for the rig operators.
Keltbray Group established Keltbray Piling in 2009 and has now grown to 45 employees and six piling crews. Recent projects include the development of Osterley Campus for BskyB and a contract at The Glebe, a Brookfield Multiplex residential development in Chelsea, London.
Keltbray Piling managing director Stuart Norman said: 鈥淥ur growth is a result of our ability to increasingly tackle technically challenging contracts in sensitive environments; be it in urban areas, ports or infrastructure projects. Our success is also thanks to our clients鈥 recognition of our approach to providing tailor-made piling as a standalone service, or as part of a more integrated basement construction package offering from Keltbray Group, depending on our clients鈥 requirements.鈥
