The new members are UK Green Building Council chief executive Paul King, Willmott Dixon energy services director Rob Lambe, Laing O鈥橰ourke business leader Steve Wignall and Marks & Spencer design chief Rob Pearce.
Paul King, who has led the board鈥檚 buildings working group for the past two and a half years, said: 鈥淭he Green Construction Board can play an important part in bringing government and industry together, in particular focusing on ways in which cutting costs and carbon can go hand in hand to deliver the target of a 50% reduction in greenhouse gas emissions by 2025. The refreshed board includes influential leaders of the some of the most progressive construction firms in the UK and I look forward to working with them to support that important goal.鈥
