Kenya鈥檚 Tatu City is designed to be home to an estimated 62,000 residents and 23, 000 day visitors. The Tatu City project will be developed in 10 phases, requiring some 25 approvals covering everything from a change in land use to the provision of utilities.聽 Consultants on the team include Capita Symonds, Davis Langdon, Gibb Africa and HOK.
Tatu City chairman Nahashon Nyaga said the project has received approval from the Ruiru local council allowing for a change of land user from coffee farming. He said that the council is also reviewing other applications and that Tatu City is at an advanced stage with National Environment Management Authority approvals.
