Tillicoultry is a long-standing user of Volvo construction equipment. The new 30-tonne articulated hauler has been supplied with full cantilever tailgate and side extensions.
Its main duties are transferring stone and secondary products from the quarry鈥檚 bins to stocking areas around the facility.聽
The A30G hauler from Volvo, which meets the Stage IV final emissions regulations, is powered by an electronically-controlled, six-cylinder 264kW turbo-charged Volvo V-ACT diesel engine. It has high torque at low engine speeds, promoting both performance and fuel efficiency.
With a carrying capacity of 28 tonnes and heaped capacity of 17.5m鲁 the Volvo A30G has a maximum speed of 33mph (53km/h). It is also fitted as standard with Volvo鈥檚 telematics system, CareTrack, enabling remote monitoring of machine functions such as location, fuel consumption and service intervals.
