Ian Taylor joined Arup in 1993 and has worked in the UK, Ireland, USA and Asia.聽 Since 2009, he has led Arup鈥檚 East Asia aviation business, particularly in China. Previously, he led the aviation team in the UK, Middle East and Africa.

I shall guide the development of our multidisciplinary teams 鈥 from strategic airport planning to programme delivery and operations consultancy 鈥 and help our clients achieve their commercial and operational objectives, and put the passenger experience at the centre of everything they do.鈥
Arup Group chairman Gregory Hodkinson said: 鈥淭hrough his leadership roles, Ian has developed a deep understanding of the application of Arup鈥檚 specialist skills in the aviation sector.鈥
Ian Taylor's appointment follows the premature death in August of Susan Baer, whom Arup appointed to the role only in February 2016 on the retirement of Peter Budd.
