The SEK739m (拢73m) contract involves construction of two connecting bridges and two 170m-tall concrete pylons. The pylons will be slipformed by NCC鈥檚 specialist slip-casting company.
The bridge, which is scheduled for completion in 2017, is part of a project to improve the E6 expressway between Narvik and Bjerkvik safer and more accessible. The journey between the two cities will be shortened by 18km.
The bridge will carry a dual carriageway, with a pedestrian and bicycle path.
