The SEK300m (拢29.1m) order is for an approximately 28,000m2 terminal with an associated land area of about 83,000m2. Trains will be able to dock at the terminal building directly from the western trunk line and up to 65 trucks and smaller vehicles will serve the terminal each day.
鈥淲e have focused on the environment through such features as minimising the building鈥檚 energy consumption,鈥 said business manager of NCC Construction鈥檚 western region Henrik Landelius. 鈥淲e are also using a virtual construction concept, which facilitates efficient coordination and better communication, thus enhancing the cost-effectiveness of the project.鈥
The building will feature an underground thermal heating system.
The turnkey project will start immediately and is scheduled for completion in December 2012. NCC will employ between 80 and 100 people on the project.
