Steve Hollingshead takes over as chief executive of Murphy on 1st June 2015, taking over from interim boss Matthew Behan.
Mr Hollingshead was with O鈥橰ourke for more than 20 years. As construction director in 2001 he played a key role in the acquisition of Laing Construction before being appointed managing director of Laing O鈥橰ourke London and Southeast. In 2010 he moved to head Laing O鈥橰ourke鈥檚 Australian business before returning to the UK in 2013.
Murphy chairman Alastair Kerr said: 鈥淪teve joins Murphy at a very exciting time of dynamic change and growth. With an impressive track record and with more than 35 years of experience in delivering major global infrastructure projects, Steve brings a wealth of knowledge. His experience will be instrumental in growing Murphy鈥檚 activities both in the UK and overseas.鈥
