Morrison secures new business growth

24 Aug 12 Repairs and maintenance service provider Morrison has secured a number of new business wins in the North East, as well as three significant contract extensions with its existing clients.

The first new partnership is a 12 month contract with Two Castles Housing Association, worth 拢300,000 per annum, for the provision of repairs and voids maintenance services to 774 homes in the Tyneside area.

Morrison has also been appointed to two framework contracts, including the 拢100million North East Procurement framework, which represents 13 housing associations across the region. The framework will enable the housing associations to place contracts with Morrison for kitchens, windows and doors and whole house improvements over the next four years.

The second framework agreement is with Fabrick Housing Group and is for the provision of subcontractor services to support Fabrick鈥檚 DLO. The 拢15million, four year framework will see Morrison providing support services across a wide range of trades including plumbing and heating, joinery and plastering.

Morrison has also secured three contract extensions with its existing clients in the North West and East Anglia, including a two year continuation of its contract with Babergh District Council. The extension is worth circa 拢3million and is for the provision of repairs, voids and on-call maintenance services to Babergh鈥檚 4000 properties.聽

In the North West, Morrison has extended its existing relationship with Manchester City Council and Northwards Housing Ltd for a further three years taking the 拢40million a year partnership to its full 10 year period.

The contract which is delivered by Manchester Working Limited, Morrison鈥檚 joint venture with Manchester City Council, is for the provision of repairs and maintenance services to Northwards鈥櫬 housing stock and to Manchester City Council鈥檚 public buildings, as well as to a number of other housing associations and councils in the North West region.

Morrison has also secured its relationship with Salix Homes for an additional year, plus a possible further 12 months. The extension is worth 拢5million and is for repairs and maintenance services to 10,500 properties across Central Salford.
