Contract value is 拢7.1m.
At 60m high, the new tower will be the second tallest ATC tower in the UK. It will be located adjacent to the north fire station and is expected to be complete in 2013. The new tower will become the airport鈥檚 primary air traffic control building.
Contract for fitting out and installing equipment will be let separately.
National Air Traffic Services (NATS) will manage the equipment and run the tower鈥檚 24-hour operation while Manchester Airport will own and maintain the building.
